I had the ovary taken out with it. Cyst was benign. Had a pregnancy in 1992. I am now 50 years old. I had a dermoid recently removed from my remaining ovary last week. It was benign also. They were able to save the ovary. I am pleased that it was benign. These dermoids need to be removed asap by a good doctor. I had a 5 lb dermoid removed in 1979 at age 17. I had one that was 14cm removed when i was 16 (12yrs ago) it twisted and killed my ovary and had that removed also due to the size i had a big operation gyno cut it in half and took it that way. pleased to stay that im pregnant with my fourth child.. :) Hey.
